Lighting
My film’s First scene has lowkey lighting as it shows night time and they are a poor family and can’t afford fancy lights, we see candle lights in the frame with yellow bulbs,
The next few scenes are filmed with natural lighting with well lit up faces, to represent afternoon time.
Costume
Costume of the characters in my film would be pretty monotonous and dull, with nothing fancy but dis saturated colors and “shalwaar kameez” used for them.
Khursheed wears red shalwaar kameez representing that she is a danger to her daughter and family. Amjad and Hamnah wear white shalwaar kameez showing that they are innocent, and pure. While the Landlord wears black shalwaar kameez showing that he is in power, he has an authority and he is overpowering. Black also represents that he is the antagonist in the film while Amjad and Hamnah are the protagonist in the film.
Set Design
The set of my film would be dull and monotonous, the house would have unfinished paint in the walls with Broken furniture and less space for them to live for.
The way to family’s convince is a cycle, he uses a cycle to travel
Amjad’s shop is a normal dry cleaner store with a dull look and dust all over, The set design is designed to showcase a Poor family’s life.
